      Senior Research Assistant (Quant) in New York

      CCRC is seeking a part-time Senior Research Assistant to support quantitative research projects in the transitions program area. This area focuses on access, transition to and completion of degrees of high value particularly among underserved populations. Current work uses large administrative datasets to examine barriers and opportunities in community college to four-year institutions transfer, as well as college-level coursework taken while in high school, broadly known as dual enrollment. The position’s responsibilities include supporting senior staff, participating in data collection, management, and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of project-related reports, presentations, and publications. Candidates should have experience working with large datasets, have a strong background in quantitative methods, and have demonstrated skills using data analytic tools such as Excel and Stata. Prior experience in quantitative research is strongly desired.

      The Consortium for Policy Research in Education at Teachers College (CPRE-TC), Columbia University is seeking a part-time Senior Research Scientist to conduct a study of ongoing monitoring and evaluation of a research project focused on teaching residents. The part-time Senior Research Scientist will oversee the entire study progress, ensuring updates to the IRB, lead the qualitative portion of the research, and conduct its analysis. The qualitative part of the study includes annual interviews with approximately 30 to 40 student participants including mentor teachers, supervisors, and program staff, followed by transcription and analysis using qualitative analysis software. The part-time Senior Research Scientist will also be responsible for drafting the annual summary of the analysis and other findings of the project.
