Posting Summary:
The Office of the Vice President for Administration is seeking a Project Assistant who must be eligible for Federal Work Study funding as approved via the Teachers College Office of Financial Aid. The Project Assistant will provide support on general tasks in support of various departmental functions and projects. This position requires a commitment of 20 hours/week. 

Job Summary/Basic Function:
Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, the Project Assistant will provide high-level administrative and project support for the VPA office. Qualified candidates will have relevant experience and/or interest in organizational development, project management, employee engagement, and communications.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities:
Assist with special projects; conduct research toward the successful implementation of various projects and initiatives.
Assist in designing employee engagement programs for the VPA offices and organizational-wide events, such as Employee Appreciation Week, the Long Term Employee Ceremony, etc.
Support engagement event logistics, such as pulling RSVP lists, set-up and breakdown of events, booking conference rooms, etc.
Collect and analyze employee feedback post-event completion; capture recaps and analyses that measure ROI on events.
Collaborate on the drafting, editing, and publishing of news content for our monthly newsletter, TC in the Know, and other employee and department communications.
Other duties as assigned.

Scheduling:
Student work schedules are based on the needs of the department and the student’s academic schedule. Students should discuss their schedules with the hiring manager/supervisor during the interview process. Hiring managers/supervisors will make every attempt to accommodate students’ needs.

Work Limitations:
During the academic year, students may not hold appointments or any combination of appointments totaling more than 27 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have been awarded federal work-study for the term in which a work-study position is being sought
Must be a TC student currently enrolled in a degree program and taking at least 5 credits
Must be able to abide by Teachers College academic and personnel policies and guidelines, including FERPA, Student Confidentiality Agreement, and the Student Privacy Requirements

Previous experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Social Media
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong computer, research and presentation skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
Working towards a degree in Social-Organizational Development or a related field

Salary Range:

$18/hr
