Posting Summary:
The Global Mental Health (GMH) Lab is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research and Program Assistant to support a faculty member and researcher in global mental health. The assistant will play a central role in managing grants, coordinating multi-country projects, and supporting the preparation of a promotion and tenure package.

Job Summary/Basic Function:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research and Program Assistant to support a faculty member and researcher in global mental health. The assistant will play a central role in managing grants, coordinating multi-country projects, and supporting the preparation of a promotion and tenure package. The position also offers opportunities to contribute to ongoing research activities, with potential for co-authorship and professional growth in global mental health research and implementation.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant and Financial Management
• Assist with the preparation, submission, and monitoring of grant proposals and progress reports

Project Coordination
● Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple research projects
● Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking progress to ensure milestones and deliverables are met

Faculty Support (Promotion and Academic Coordination)
• Assist with the preparation and organization of promotion and tenure materials, ensuring all required documents are complete, accurate, and submitted on schedule
• Maintain accurate, confidential records related to faculty activities, academic appointments, and scholarly outputs

Research Support
● Prepare drafts of research materials, reports, presentations, and manuscripts
● Maintain organized and secure research files, databases, and documentation

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
● 1-2 years of related experience.
● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Familiarity with reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero), project management tools, and standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

Preferred Qualifications:
● Prior experience in research coordination, grant management, or academic administration
● A strong interest in global mental health and implementation science.

Salary Range:

$53,000-$67,000

Work Modality:

Hybrid
